Laser-Rangefinders-Magnification

Laser rangefinder magnification is typically denoted by a number followed by "x." When it comes to rangefinders, magnification values are not something that most users really keen in on. While ability to see a magnified image of the target, whether a pin flag on a golf course or that trophy buck on the edge of the corn field is important, most hunters and golfers care more about the overall maximum distance that the rangefinder is effective at.

Therefore unlike binoculars that have magnification values displayed as Model A 8x(objective lens diameter in mm), most laser rangefinders will be marked with names like, Model B 500, denoting effective range of 500 yards or meters.
