The VERSA-POD Model 49 Super Short Prone Bipod, Ski Feet, Pan/Tilt, Cant Friction Lock (150-049) is a tactical version of the super-short Model 50 bipod. It was developed particularly to satisfy the needs of professionals, who find it a necessity to be as close to the ground as possible. The Model 49 is the lightest of the 50 Series but just like all Versa-Pods still has the same rugged design and ease of use. With its Ski feet, it can be used on many natural terrains especially slick surfaces to lock into place for accuracy and comfort.
The Model 49 Bipod has built-in tilt and pan movements - essential for making shots on real-world targets under actual conditions.
The ability to quickly correct for uneven ground is crucial for making a first-shot hit - yet most bipods don't offer this important feature. This Versa-Pod Bipod has built-in cant correction. The model features a new friction lock mechanism (patent pending) operated by the shooter's non-shooting hand, so it's now possible to limit the degree of cant rotation, or to lock it down completely. The friction knobs can also be adjusted to allow slight movement for following moving targets.
The all-new Versa-Pod 50-Series bipods all come with spring-loaded legs. The legs extend from 5 inches to 7 inches.
The Bipod includes one Tactical Universal Mounting Adapter (150-200).
